GOOD BEGINNINGS' LITTLE LEGENDS FAMILY FESTIVAL
Good Beginnings, the support group for the neonatal intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, is presenting the inaugural Little Legends, a fun family day to commemorate the heroic journies of NICU babies and raise money for the NICU at Cedars-Sinai. The "little man" himself, Nicholas Baba-Conn, will model in a kids' fashion show presented by Pumpkinheads. The event, featuring a surprise musical performance, pony rides, petting zoo, fishing, swimming, and activities for all ages, will be held Sunday, October 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Big Rock Ranch in Topanga. UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND - KINGSTON
The University will be screening "little man" at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, at Edwards Auditorium on the URI Campus. A presentation by and Q&A with Nicole Conn will follow the screening. The event is open to all and is free. Auditorium seating for approximately 900 is on a first-come basis. ENCINO-TARZANA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
A screening of "little man" and panel discussion will close a conference for perinatal and neonatal health care professionals held on Wednesday, October 25 at the Women's Pavilion Auditorium at the Tarzana Campus, 18321 Clark Street in Tarzana, 91356. The panel discussion will feature Nicole Conn; Joan Maltese, PhD, of Child Development Institute; Regan Gausselin, MS, CCLS, of Child Development Institute; and James Banks, PhD, Director of Neonatology at ETRMC. The conference is free to ETRMC employees and medical staff; $25 registration fee to ETRMC employees (to be refunded at the completion of the program), and $70 for all others, or $60 if your registration is received before 10/28/06.
