The Advocate magazine and film critics, Ted Murphy of Murphy's Movie Reviews and Steve Warren of Miami's The Weekly News all ranked "little man" in their top 10 films of 2005.

The Santa Barbara Social Justice Award for Documentary Film has announced "little man" as a nominee. The award is given annually by the Fund for Santa Barbara to a film that makes a particularly valuable contribution to advancing social justice.

Good Beginnings has chosen Nicole Conn and Gwendolyn Baba as honorees of the first annual Courageous Beginnings Awards. The ceremony, at which Heidelise Als, Ph.D., and Martha Beck, Ph.D., were also recognized, was held on January 13 at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

Sam Rubin's interview with Director Nicole Conn was featured on the KTLA Morning Show (Channel 5 in LA) on March 17. Clips from the film illustrated the joys and the ethical struggles that Nicole and Sam discussed.
